Join The Force…
Industrial Light & Magic has launched it’s 2019 London-based Graduate Programme and applications are open until midnight on Sunday the 12th of May.
Known as The Jedi Academy, this is a fantastic opportunity for 2019 Post Grads as well as 2018/19 MA and Short Course Graduates, to join one of the world’s leading visual effects studios.
Successful applicants will be offered a six month contract and assigned to a live project. The programme includes working alongside a mentor to fulfil show related tasks, as well as attending classroom-based sessions delivered by trainers from ILM’s own dedicated Studio Talent Group.
The Jedi Academy programme is an invaluable first hand opportunity for emerging talent to gain real experience in a live studio environment as well as a deeper insight into the wider visual effects industry.
Since it opened it’s London studio in 2014, ILM has made emerging talent development a key part of the company’s ongoing plans to grow the wider studio team across Creative and Technical disciplines as well as Production. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion is backed-up by a blind application process which ensures applicants submit gender and ethnicity neutral reels and CV’s – applicants are encouraged to thoroughly read the application instructions before sending their details through.
With a limited number of opportunities available, it’s important for Graduates to make sure that they identify the discipline they would most like to pursue and submit a reel that really reflects the department they are applying for.
